Meet Kay Odegard
My philosophy weaves together trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and emotionally focused techniques to help couples reconnect with empathy, clarity, and purpose. I believe many couples don’t struggle because of a lack of love, but because they’ve lost the tools to express it in ways that feel safe and nourishing. In our work together, I create a collaborative and supportive space where healing can begin with small moments of understanding, softened defenses, and renewed compassion. From the very first session, I listen deeply, reflect back patterns, and begin mapping a path toward trust, stability, and lasting connection. With over 10 years of experience in clinical mental health therapy, I bring both expertise and steadiness to my work. I feel especially confident supporting couples navigating trauma, dual diagnoses, or high-conflict dynamics, drawing on my background in crisis management. My style is intuitive, structured, and emotionally attuned, always centered on the belief that committed relationships can be a profound source of healing, growth, and joy. For me, witnessing couples rediscover compassion and build healthier, more resilient bonds is one of the most meaningful parts of being a therapist.
