Well Marriage Center’s Couples Counseling Intensive
What Is A Couples Counseling Intensive?
Located in our Charlottesville, Virginia office, our Couples Counseling Intensive at Well Marriage Center is a two-day deep dive into your relationship. Each day includes 6 hours of focused work with our founder and clinical director, Glen Denlinger. Each day begins at 9:00 am with a 1.5 hour break for lunch and wraps up at 4:30 pm. What makes intensives so powerful is the uninterrupted attention. You’re not sharing your therapist’s time with other clients, so you can go much deeper, much faster.
This intensive is designed to be adaptable for your unique situation. Some couples will find this two-day event was just what they needed to resolve their conflicts and move in a healthy, forward direction. Others will find this is just the beginning of their healing journey. It will act as a rapid and powerful start to your couples counseling work. Following the intensive, you’ll continue couples counseling sessions with Glen either virtually or in-person in his office.
With fewer time limits and more space to open up, couples find it easier to be vulnerable and really get to the heart of what’s going on. During the two days, you’ll work on seven core relationship skills: Being Curious, Listening, Understanding, Respecting Differences, Validating, Empathizing, and Showing Vulnerability.
What Are The Benefits of an Intensive Compared to Regular Therapy?
